FAQs

01

Do we have to know exactly what we want before we reach out to you?

Absolutely not!  If you know you want to build a new home or make some major renovations but don't know where to start, we can guide you through the planning and permitting process and present design options for anything from accent walls to kitchen colors to tile combinations to siding options.  We can connect you with our partner engineers and architects as well.

02

Can we work with you if we already have plans?

We are happy to review all due diligence and planning homeowners have done.  Unless approved by applicable housing boards, we cannot guarantee all aspects of your build can be completed.  We view each journey towards a successfully completed project as a relationship that requires communication and transparency.  The earlier a builder and an owner can start discussing lots, existing structures and plans, the easier it is for us to avoid surprises and work together to build better.

03

How do  you select your subcontractors?

Our success and reputation is founded on the quality of our team, partners and subcontractors.  We develop longstanding relationships with all of them. The vast majority of our subcontractors have completed many jobs with us and we are mutually comfortable with our standards and attention to detail.  For subs we haven't worked with before, we ensure we get at least 2 professional referrals from within the past 3 months.  Of course, all subs are required to be licensed and insured as well at the time  the work is performed.

Building sucks up a lot of natural resources and creates a lot of waste.  What are you doing to address that?

We are committed to improving our communities, the home living experience and the construction process through sustainable practices.  We ensure all our partners adhere to recommended onsite health and safety standards, including clean up and disposal/recycling.  We work tirelessly to create healthy environments in our homes through air filtration, ventilation and insulation.  This also includes working with sustainable materials that minimize the need for adhesives and chemicals, limit off-gassing, and install systems made to monitor the health of your home.
